freshman courses

If I am a business econ major, does anyone have an idea of what classes I would be taking likely my first quarter? Also, what teachers are good?

um, i am going for business major as well. But for my freshmen year, i am gonna take general ed classes. alot of my college friends take general classes first despite their major, so ithink its better if you can get some general classes done first.

can you give me some examples of general classes. also, when do we choose our classes? at orientation? and do we choose our classes before or at the same time we choose our teachers?

here are my suggestions

econ 20a
math 2a/2b/2d (depending on ap credits) or math 1a/1b (dependent on precalc placement test)
writing 39a/39b or 37 (depending on placement) or the humcore series (not sure if it works...it probably does)
some breadth course

i thought some breadth courses would be like chemistry, english, and math? i went online and tried to look for some breadth courses but i couldn't find any.

cjl2g: we register for classes at orientation and i don't know about choosing your professors. i have no clue which professor is better so i think i am just gonna register for classes that are available to me.
