Freshman Dorm Help & Discussion!!!

Can any current Northwestern student/someone familiar with the housing give some of the pros and cons for living in any of the following dorms for Freshman:
Ayers CCI
Allison
Shephard
Chapin
Sargent
Silvka
1835 Hinman
Elder

Also, does anyone know anything about the new all-Freshman dorm 1838 Chicago. There’s hardly any information about it anywhere.

*I am aware that there’s a Housing Guide online from North by Northwestern, however, it is from 2010 so it is outdated.

Full disclosure - they are both Engineering majors, so took most of their classes on North Campus - although that’s really not that big of a deal. Good Luck!
