<p>That being said we were logged in before our time but had not clicked on any selection buttons, meaning we were on the page that makes you choose the semester erm you want to look at.</p>

<p>Oh, we too are hoping someone just picks our empty room. It is in the above listing, by the way. Hoping to not have housing just place somebody in the empty spot, which happened to us this year. Better to at least have a name and email the boys can “meet” online beforehand to find out if they’ll be somewhat of a match.</p>

D’s roommate got them in Tut, 4th floor. 
YEA! No dealing with elevators.</p>
<p>Now, D has to log in and do another room and pull in another girl.</p>
<p>There are 8 girls all doing rooms and then the major swap-a-roo’s to get with the roomies they plan on being with. </p>
<p>Thank goodness that part is over… cause I ain’t got no time for that…

<p>It’s interesting - if you look at the room selection day thread from last year (the one that just got bumped up), apparently the suites with 4 spots available were all gone in the first few minutes. As of right now, after nearly two hours, all four of the Ridgecrests have 4-slot suites available for males. The number is slowly dwindling, but they are there. I wonder why they went so much faster last year?</p>
<p>Parents, I’d like to weigh in on this thread. We’ve already gotten calls tonight from incoming and current students concerned about the room numbers being listed here based on gender. These students are concerned about their security, in that, anyone can see which rooms have females or males in them, and could try to get into the buildings and misuse this information.</p>

<p>I think it’s because more returning students were denied recontracting this year than last.</p>
<p>Txnewcollegemom… My D is on 4th floor and loves it. No elevators. Not too far to walk up to BFF on the 7th floor. Just a good floor overall! Enjoy. She loves it and would do it again but is ready to move out and get more room! You have to do it once!</p>
<p>Can you tell who is the room already before you sign up? That would be a nice feature for my son who signs up on Thursday and want Ridgecrest but does not want to take the effort to find a roommate in advance…</p>
