Hey, can you guys please do a comparison of Potomac vs. Lafayette vs. Madison? I want to know room sizes;
dorm ambiance/climate/vibe;
room furniture;
dorm location;
bathroom functionality and any of the bathroom details (private/communal baths);
PICTURES IF POSSIBLE
eating situation per hall;
any other tricks, perks, problems, gossips about the dorms that I should know about before making the decision;
Newness of the hall/design/ease of access throughout the hall;
Please reply ASAP, this will be very helpful for me.
PS I am a ED candidate so I'm getting priority choice.

Room sizes:
Poto - Decent size. I’ve only been here once. The rooms weren’t particularly big.
Lafayette - Pretty small rooms. After the desks and beds, there isn’t very much floor space. Like, maybe the floor space you do have is about the size of a twin bed.
Madison - Probs the best sized rooms out of all of these dorms.

Vibe:
Poto - It’s fairly nice.
Lafayette - SUPER NICE. Recently renovated.
Madison - It’s pretty old but not nasty.

Location -
Poto - It’s a block away from Thurston so it’s not really close to any academic buildings but you have Carvings right under you as well as Subway a block away.
Lafayette - It’s right next to the Marvin center so you’re near the heart of campus. However, right across from TGI Fridays which I’ve heard is loud on karaoke nights.
Madison - Probs the best location. Whole Foods is a block away. You’re across the street from Gelman.

Bathrooms:
Poto - I think there’s a bathroom for every double. It’s connected to the room.
Lafayette - I think for the entire dorm there’s a bathroom connecting two doubles.
Madison - If you’re in a corner room, it’s kind of suite style. So two separate doubles connected by an entrance way type thing with a bathroom attached. For non-corner rooms it’s just a bathroom attached to a double.

Food:
Poto - No dining halls near but you have Carvings (which is open late) and Subway.
Lafayette - TGI Friday, Whole Foods down the road, J Street on the same block, Chipotle, Paul, Johnny Rockets, CVS, Pita Pit, Au Bon Pain.
Madison - J Street, Whole Foods, Ivory, GW Deli.

Etc:
Poto - You’re near frats and Thurston if you’re into partying.
Lafayette - It’s so new. It’s so pretty and nice.
Madison - Sketchy elevator.
