Freshman Dorms

I just finished my freshman year and I have several friends who did very well in singles, and they were definitely NOT social outcasts.
It really just comes down to your personality and your preferences as far as the living situation goes. I think that if you’re in a single you do have to make more of an effort to get out of your room and socialize, but that’s not a problem for most people.
Having a roommate is definitely a risk, but I think it’s a risk worth taking. I know a lot of roommate pairs (whether they were paired randomly or found each other on facebook) who have become really close friends and are planning to room together next year.

^^^ dude, thats what I was thinking, because if I got stuck with someone who I didn’t get along with, I’d be stuck with them for the entire year…but the year after that, after I have made some friends, I wouldn’t mind rooming with them…
