freshman engineering science question

I'm interested in ChemE and material sciences. I took AP Physics C this year, and I have a bad feeling that I didn't get the 4/5 needed to get credit. I did not have the chance to take AP Chemistry. Which science would be better to tackle this upcoming school year with the AP Physics C credit and without? Is it better to take the credit or retake the class for a GPA boost?

When deciding between Physics and Chem for this semester, I would just say do whichever you like or fits better into your schedule. My personal philosophy with getting AP credit is to always take it - for me, it means you’ll have an open slot later to take something more interesting. Or you could just have a lighter semester than you normally would’ve had!

If you’re worried that you didn’t learn the Physics C material well enough, you can always check out the prerequisites for the classes you’ll be taking in the future and see how much Physics knowledge will be required!

If you want to do chem E you have to take chemistry in your freshman year. Since you don’t have AP chem credit you’ll have to take chemistry both semesters. If you get the physics credit I would take it, if you don’t then I would double up chem / physics in your second semester.
