My son is at risk of expulsion during his freshman year at his current college for participating in a fight. What are the chances of an appeal going through at his current college and if not, being accepted at another school?

Expelled for a fight? That must have been quite a fight. Or a very strict college.

Really, as far as the appeal goes, it depends on the college. Every college’s judicial system is different.

Do defendants (or whatever the proper term at this college is) at your son’s college get an advisor? If so, the advisor might be able to give you a realistic assessment.

I’m not sure about the chances of being accepted elsewhere. He might have to work productively for a while, be able to demonstrate that he’s matured.

Oh my gosh… Expulsion? That seems a little severe.. I wish I could answer your question, but I can’t give a definitive answer. The post above me seems fairly accurate though.
