Freshman Fall Admission Policy?

Hi, I was just wondering what the policy for freshmen admissions was. I’ve previously been told that Stony Brook used rolling admissions, but I can’t seem to find a specific notification date or anything regarding a rolling admissions policy.

Applications will be accepted after these priority deadlines on a space-available basis. Priority deadline is listed at Jan 15, 2017

Notification date for us is April 1. We’ll start sending out acceptances in late January/early February – but when you apply has no bearing on when you’ll hear.

My son’s Solar System just posted they SB would like midyear senior grades. Wonder if he can have 1st qtr sent since it just ended. I guess it’s better than a denial!!

If we ask for midyears, we’ll wait; 1Q is good too, but we may still wait for midyears, depending on circumstances.
