Freshman Forum Application

Does anybody know when the application for entry into the Freshman Forum will become available? The FYE website says that the application for next year should come online in May 2012, and I wanted to know if anybody had stumbled upon it yet, because I can’t find it.

bumpppppppppppppppppp

Not sure what the Freshman Forum is. Is that one of the freshman learning groups?

[Student Affairs | First Year Experience](http://fye.ua.edu/freshforum.cfm)

It’s basically a freshman leadership program that is relatively new but I’ve heard very good things about it.

Hope that Malanai will weigh in here, his son participated in Freshman Forum and I know he won a monetary prize.

Sorry, I edited this after checking, his son was in Moral Forum, I don’t think this is the same forum…

Freshman Forum is a leadership program that can often be a stepping stone to a position (elected or otherwise) with student government. In the past, it has been very heavily Greek, but in recent years, there seem to be more non-Greeks earning spots.

My son was in Freshman Forum three years ago, and he enjoyed the experience. Met some very nice people. Did some good community service. Later, in his sophomore and junior years, he served as a intern in the program, which gave him more of a leadership/planning role. Don’t know if he’ll work with it again this year – he has a lot going on, as he moves into his final year at Alabama.

malanai’s son was involved with moral forum, a debate thing, i think. different.

ditto what momreads said.

MikeW^^^^you are right, I already corrected that in my post…
