I know that some colleges don’t even look at your freshman grades, like even some of the Ivy’s. Does UPenn take freshman grades into consideration? If they do, how important are they?

All I know is that my freshman grades were sent in...I had a 78 overall average in grade 9, and I got in.

So they either don't look at them, or noticed my upward trend since then. Guess I didn't help you much.

I think it might depend on the classes you had. Some people had AP classes freshman year and it wouldn't make sense not to count them. I know I had high school classes in 8th grade and it's on my transcript and they probably looked at them and took them into account.

9th grade- great year- no honors classes
10th grade- horrible year- 3 honors
11th grade- better than 10th- 3 honors
12th grade- about to be better than all others- 2 honor/ 1 AP

Does this show any trend that could help or hurt me?

It depends robertsont06, they compare you to the courses your high school offers. Because I think Penn wants to see whether you have taken advantage of the academic opportunities you had available to you.
