How does Princeton deal with freshman grades?

I heard on another thread that they don't look at them.

So does that mean they recaculate your GPA based solely on your sophomore, junior, and half senior year grades?

Don't apply to Princeton. Apply to Cornell.

Yes, they ignore freshman year because they consider it a "transition period." Hopefully you still got decent/good grades, though, because they can only help you at that point.

Yeah I got good grades but I got one "c" my freshman year that I was worried about. With the C and the rest of my freshman grade my GPA would be 3.77 but w/o it my GPA is a 3.83 unweighted.

A 3.83 is still a little low (but acceptable, as is 3.77), but if you really show that you have a passion and are qualified in every other manner, then you will be fine. :)
