freshman housing

<p>are freshmen required to live on campus? cuz i know that in some colleges they are...</p>

<p>but unless you're planning on staying with someone who already lives there (or near there and commuting), its probably by far the easiest, at least first year</p>

<p>I just meant cheaper as in the dorms are usually less expensive than the apartments. I don't know about the food plans, etc. etc.</p>

<p>well, it's definitely more convenient to live in the dorms because you won't have to look for an apartment yourself, but paying over $1000 month to share a room is expensive, even by new york standards</p>
