Freshman Housing

Okay, so I'm going to Tisch this fall and because I'm ED, I got first crack at housing apps... I chose 1) Uhall, 2) 3rd North and 3) Weinstein, in that order, but I may make changes if I see fit. Anyway. I've got a couple of questions...

1) 3rd North has regular rates and low-cost rates, right? Are the rooms very different? I looked for pics and info but couldn't find any. X(

2) Is there room in a regular double (at either of the apt-style residence halls) for a big suitcase? Mine's kinda big, so I thought of bringing a big fat duffel bag so I can fold it and stow it somewhere once I've unpacked, but I won't be able to fit much into a duffel bag to begin with...

P.S. if anyone else has other housing-related questions, feel free to use this thread to ask! :)

http://www.nyu.edu/housing/residence.halls/ will tell you all about each residence hall. You can see some pictures and find out the rates for all types of rooms.

Big suitcases are not a problem - you can raise your bed and store stuff under there.

Actually, I think 3rd North has platform type beds, so you can lift your mattress and then shove stuff there...

Yay. Are the beds at Uhall like that too? =)

I don't think so, but Uhall is supposed to be identical to Palladium, where the beds could be raised a couple notches off the ground, leaving like 3 ft of space underneath.
