any suggestions or advice on freshman housing?

o and what is the difference between traditional and suite style dorms

I'm fairly certain that most, if not all, of the dorms have private bathrooms (i.e., every room--be it single, double, triple, etc.--has a private bathroom). Goddard and Hayden and one other Freshman hall whose name I can't remember are in Washington Square. Not sure about the weight room, though.

Hope that helps.

EDIT: Oh, forgot about this part: I believe the difference between traditional and suite style dorms is that a traditional dorm is just the one room holding however many people, and a suite style dorm is several "traditional" dorm rooms sharing a communal living space.

Is housing guaranteed all four years?

Yes, but once you move off-campus, you're housing is no longer guaranteed.

nope, i know for freshman it is and back to my orignal questions

All of them have "private" bathrooms; there are no communal ones. As for Wash Square, that'd be either Goddard, Weinstein, Hayden, or Rubin (kind of). Don't depend on the workout areas for any of the dorms because they're usually pretty sparse. If you want a place to work out that's closer than Palladium, go to Coles. It's on the corner of Mercer and Bleeker.

Unless of course you dorm at Uhall or Third North--then Palladium is right next door.

is hayden filled?

and how bad is goddard, the pics look like crap

and how is brittany

any suggestions for freshman dorms?

Goddard is actually really nice. Don't judge the pics, the carpets have been replaced. Plus, have you SEEN the bathrooms at Hayden? Gross.

Are Goddard rooms big cause i saw bunk beds

The doubles are okay, the triples are quite large and the quads are okay with huge bathrooms compared to the doubles. Guess cuz its more people.

Do Goddard have private suites and do they have bunk beds?

How big are the rooms at Britney

Are there any more openings at Hayden

I know you are not allowed but what is there anything or anyone to prevent you from smoking out your window

Hayden is full by now (EDers get their first choice and a lot of them want Hayden...if you're RD, unless you're really lucky or you go Explorations, you probs won't get Hayden). The rooms in Brittany are HUGE, but there's no AC. Umm...smoking in the dorm is not a fantastic idea, since you're not supposed to at ALL, once you're here, you'll be enlightened. I don't know about Goddard, sorry.

I'm pretty sure Hayden's not full....I looked it up and even if every EDer put Hayden they wouldn't fill it up..ALMOST though so most RDers probably won't get it.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. Hayden's not technically "full," meaning every space is taken yet, but for RDers, they might as well be. Hayden is always about 90% and up EDers. You have to be a really lucky RDer to get Hayden except through Explorations.

why is explorations so bad?

It isn't. Explorations just attracts some weird people sometimes so you have to watch out. I know plenty of people in Explorations who enjoy it and who have really cool dorm rooms.

What exactly is Explorations?
