does princeton consider them in admissions?

Yes. They consider your entire secondary school transcript. I got a B in a class freshman year, and am extremely worried about how it'll affect my chances...sounds dumb, but I'm still worrying.

Hey no, Pton doesn't consider frosh year grades

im pretty sure princeton doesnt consider freshman year grades. Or so someone says.

"Someone?" I can't seem to find anything about not looking at frosh grades anywhere on the website...and it would make sense for them to look at your entire transcript. I could be wrong, but it's fairly logical to examine your entire high school career.

They dont look at freshman grades (thank god). I went to their oncampus tour/info session and the admissions lady said they recalculate your GPA, one of the ways by taking out the freshman year. They see frosh year as a "transition for many"

They also remove non-academic classes from the recalculation.

Wow. That...that's wonderful.

what a beautiufl beautiful system....

how do they recalc...like mich?

4.0=a
3.0=b
etc... and then for weighted

5.0=a
4.0=b

etc???

They strip all weighting.

yea but is that the right scale?

I think they don't weight, but do factor in +'s and -'s on a 4 point scale

oh no, I have all A-s :( that's not cool. I thought they didn't matter so I stopped trying after I got over the 90 line :(

wait so final word, which is it?
Weighted/nonweighted?
+/-?

yea i still wanna knwo
