Hey I am about to finish my first year of highschool with a 3.2 GPA. Is that considered a good GPA? Is it hard to raise it next year? And do Colleges look deeply into freshman year?

Sorry, but you need to make some high improvements. Sorry if this is blunt. Just focus really hard on the classes next year. Aim for mostly As. You can still get into some colleges, but most competative schools need something like 3.7-3.8 to really think about you…

You are off to a good start, but aim for the fences next year.

My HS didn’t even include freshman grades in our GPAs. I don’t think most colleges look at them too seriously.

However, this is still 1-2 years earlier than you should be on this site. For now, take the classes that interest and stimulate you, and work hard and try to get good grades for your own sake, not for college. You really shouldn’t be worrying about this right now.

yea, 3.2 is really bad. you should stop playing video games/wasting time/watching TV.
study hard, get 4.0’s, take the most challenging courses, go above and beyond. otherwise, youll land up at a community or state college.

BTW
EDIT: wth?? I was just playing an online game called Tactics Arena Online. And I was playing a guy with the username “hebrewhammer”
Same as the guy above me^
wth??

GPAs can be very misleading depending on their context.
The more important info is going to be your GPA in relation to your class rank. For example, at a very very tough school a 3.54 may be the highest GPA in the class but out on the internet that GPA will be scrutinized.
What is your class rank?

hebrewhammer is a movie character, not likely the same guy.

and these days a 3.2 won’t cut it, unfortunately.

Ok first off…
A 3.2 is solid.
You’re off to a good start, just remember upward trends look great. Shoot for the stars…and just try your hardest, because that’s ALL you can do
