Does anyone know the date for fall freshman move-in for the coming year? I can't seem to find it.

I didn’t see it either, however classes start on Tuesday, Sept 2 (day after Labor Day) and last year move-in day for freshman was the Saturday before Labor Day. So you are probably looking at moving in on August 30. They should explain all of that when you go for orientation this summer.

When I went on accepted students day, they said August 29

Now that dessie mentions it, I see from my calendar that move-in day was Friday before Labor Day weekend, so August 29 it is.

Two years ago when S was a freshmen, honors college kids moved in one day earlier than the rest of the class–a little less crazy, and honors orientation started one day earlier as well

The New Student Orientation office confirmed that move-in day for new freshmen would be Friday August 29th. Both Honors and non-Honors. Honors students will have an arrival time earlier in the day, though.

Lerxst, good luck. The move-in goes smoothly.

For a huge campus, I have been nothing but impressed with the planning and organization that goes on for the move in days. Takes time, but once your turn comes up, usually goes very smoothly and quickly.

So both parents and students are going to be there for move in day? Seems like a lot of people.

Most kids are in state, 3 hours away or less, so parents drive the kids in, help unload the car, maybe go for lunch/ or dinner, then get out of there.
