Freshman On-Campus Living

I have recently been accepted into the Ohio State University and I’m expecting my housing contract soon. I don’t know much about housing on campus, so I was wondering if anyone has any advice or experience that could contribute to my decision?

Also:
-Would it be realistic for me to live in Jones Tower or would I probably not get in there? Single rooms appeal to me.
-I kind of like the idea of living in a suite like in Morrill Tower or Lincoln House, but most things I’ve read say West Campus isn’t a very good place to live.

I would appreciate any advice anyone could give. Thanks!

Don’t do a single room that’s almost exclusively for upperclassmen. West campus is by far the worst place to live, the suites aren’t even suites there’s probably less space for 4 people than there is for 2 in ANY other part of campus. I suggest South campus personally that’s where most freshmen will be

Thanks @kdiddy34 I don’t think I will live on West Campus. Others have said it is terrible too. I don’t, however, think I’m going to live on South Campus. I’ll probably live on North. But I’m still considering.

I’m a freshman who (somehow) got a single in a brand new dorm, it’s not common, but unheard of. I very much enjoy living on North and am choosing to stay here for next year.

The best piece of advice I can give to you is to fill out your housing contract ASAP!
