freshman orientation

<p>I'm going to travel over the summer so I need to know how much time I have before I have to get back and start packing.
The only thing that incoming freshmen need to worry about is freshman orientation right? When do they usually start?
if you need specific names cause it's different for all colleges, I applied to Cornell, MIT, CMU, UPenn, and UMich. </p>

<p>Email (or call) the schools and ask them when their orientation starts. Some have summer dates (sometimes overnight stays sometimes not), and others will sometimes have them a few days before classes start.</p>
