does anyone know the exact dates of freshman orientation for fall of 2005? how far in advance do you usually move into your res/apartment? thanks.

Orientation week runs from the 22nd of August to the 9th of September. Discover McGill, the big campus-wide orientation, is on the 25th of August. School will start probably somewhere around the 1st of September. My guess, based on the way things went last year, is that you can move into residence starting the 22nd of August, Discover McGill will be on the 25th, followed by three days of faculty frosh and then three days of SSMU frosh. After that, school will start, and during the first week of school there will be additional orientation things going on in addition to classes. Your housing assignment will come early this summer...end of june, say. That'll have all the information about when you can move into residence. And as it gets closer to the start of school, you'll recieve information about registering for frosh.

here's a website to poke around on for more info.
