Ok so basically, I have a little problem. I live in Cali and go to one of the best schools in the nation. We are definitely ranked as a top 50 hs. So basically I did not do well for the first three quarters and have around a 3.4 gpa. So basically, are there any colleges that do not look at freshman grades or take them into consideration? Also, will they still have this where they don't look at freshman grades by the time i hit college application time because I looked and saw that michigan used to not look at frosh grades but now does.

I’m pretty sure all if not most colleges look at your entire high school grades…

I am sure there were others besides just michigan? Help! Are there any?

The majority of colleges don’t give much weight to your freshman year grades. Plus, you have 2.5 years to improve, and colleges like to see upward trends in GPA. I believe that the entire UC system disregards freshman year when they recalculate your GPA thoiugh.

Getting a 3.4 at a top 50 college in your freshman year is not a problem for college admission! Just do a little better and you’ll totally be fine. You don’t need to rely on colleges that disregard that year in order to have a shot at great schools.
