Freshman Questions, Athletics

I have a few questions about preparing for next year.

When do football/basketball/hockey tickets go on sale? And how do you buy them?
Is seating a free-for-all, or assigned, like am I going to have to find people to sit with before buying my tickets?

Thanks

I’m not sure if season tickets are already on sale, but you should get a letter in the mail with log in information to buy student tickets soon. You can buy them online. I would only recommend getting the football tickets, yeah we’re gonna suck but it’s at the beginning of the school year and a good way to make friends… plus if you’re worried about the price, you could probably sell your notre dame ticket for like $150.
You buy season tickets online and then you can buy individual tickets online too or actually at BC. student tickets are free-for-all but only in the student sections.

Strongly disagree with fraire. If anything you should DEFINITELY GET MEN’S ICE HOCKEY SEASON TICKETS. We just won the national championship, we’re kind of really good. Do not only get football tickets. I would recommend both football and hockey, with basketball if you’re really into it, but not many people go to those games. Football games are for the social aspect mostly, hockey games are for the social and the amazing athletics.

Haha sorry i didn’t mean to ignore hockey, but there are so many hockey games season tickets might not even be worth it. as ironic as that sounds, will you be able to go to games on tuesdays and sundays? I would only buy tickets to games against BU and tickets to the beanpot.

I would definitely go ahead and, in addition to football, get hockey season tickets for your freshman year. After a national championship season, the number of fellow frosh that will get them is just going to get bigger. Hockey East (the league that BC hockey is in) is arguably the most competitive in the country. Nationally ranked teams visit ALL the time. It’s just freshman year, better to have them and decide to sell tickets than not have them at all.
