I was wondering if there were any required freshman courses besides the freshman seminar course.

I don't think there are other classes that you are required to take as a freshman. But there are distribution requirements. So, you will be required to take other classes sometime throughout your four years.

Depending on your major, in your freshman year, you are required to take non-credit "intro to major" courses. For example, as an accounting major in the business school, I had to take a "Business Colloquium", which was a non-credit class in which we listenend to speakers from different business backgrounds and an "Intro to Acc. Profession" - also with numerous guest speakers. They're Pass/Fail courses so don't worry about them. Other than that, at TCNJ, throughout your 4 yours at the College, every student has to fulfill a liberal learning requirement, which is basically taking some science, lit, history, math classes of your choice. A 4 or 5 on an AP exam will get you out of some of these classes so it's really worth taking the time to study for them! If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask!

hi! do you know if music is considered under liberal learning? Also, what factors does TCNJ use in deciding if you get in for a certain major? I declared accounting as my major too, but have very little business or accounting experience shown on my high school transcript. Also, does TCNJ take ap statistics credit for accounting? thank you so much!

Certain courses in music will fulfill some of your liberal learning requirements (here's the website: http://www.tcnj.edu/~liberal/courses/index.html), but not all of them.
As far as admission goes, I do not think the major that you put down on your application will be a huge factor in the admission decision. A lot of students change their majors in their freshman year and later, so I'm pretty sure you shouldn't worry about that. I didn't a lot of accounting experience (I didn't even take accounting in high school), when I applied either and I got in, so as long as stats your strong you have a very good shot!
TCNJ does award credits for AP exams (see: http://www.tcnj.edu/~recreg/documents/ap_legend_2006-2007.pdf). If you get a 4 or higher on your AP statistics exam you won't have to take STA215, a class which is required for all accounting majors.
Hope that answered your questions!
