Hi, I'm currently building my resume to start applying for summer internships. I've followed my schools career services guide, but I have one question. It says to include about 6 of the courses I've taken, but I haven't even finished my first semester yet (finals after break..). Can I include courses that I am going to take next semester, since I will have taken them by the summer? I only ask because these courses will be much more relevant to the jobs I am applying for (I am a comp sci major, but so far I've only taken introduction to computer science. I'm enrolled to take introduction to programming systems and introduction to logic design next semester). Also should I just write N/A for GPA since I don't yet have one? Thanks for any advice!

It isn’t completely necessary to include specific course information, but if you want to, I would include only courses you have already taken. You need to be prepared to talk about what you have learned in those courses, so if you have yet to take them, they don’t really help very much. ABSOLUTELY use N/A for GPA, or just don’t include a GPA section. Never project your GPA. Never ever!

Only include courses you’ve taken that are applicable to the positions you are applying for. Even then, only include them if you really need something to fill out your resume (I always take a copy of my unofficial transcripts to interviews, so having an applicable coursework section wouldn’t make much sense)
