Freshman Room Assignments Anyone???

@anb: each person that goes to harvard will tell you that their dorm is the best. and it’s true. each one is the best in one way or another, and you just come to love that.

in my opinion, hollis and stoughton are the best if you love your own space (they’re HUGE).
holworthy is great if you love the idea of having basically 7 roommates. you have your suite of 4 but then you’re attached to another suite of 4. each floor ends up being pretty tight.
canaday is the biggest (i think), and has a great location to the science center, annenberg, and most classes in the old yard. canaday pride is pretty big.
if i had to say one was the best, i’d say weld. weld is just awesome.
pennypacker, hurlbut, and greenough are the worst in my opinion but whatever. strictly based on location though. the proctors seemed to be the coolest there about parties and stuff. one of the pennypacker proctors was the man.
matthews and greys are fun.
lionel and mower are small and quaint.
apley is the nicest from the inside. it’s got the marble staircase and pretty chandeliers or whatever. kinda out of the way but nice rooms.

sev1991 - Was just talking to D who saw another Greenough suite this week. To answer your question, my daughter thinks that it might (but really not sure) be possible to fit the 3 beds in the single. Also, she thinks that saw that this week’s two room, three person suite had an entrance door on both the double and the single. Apparently, last spring, she never went into the second room and therefore never saw its layout. What my daughter did notice was that the suite had all three beds in the larger room while all the desks were set up in the smaller room. She thought it was a nice set up (though she is not assigned Greenough). D has now seen the dorm twice and says that if you have any other questions she can try to answer.

Ok I see your point Token 89. But could you elaborate on why you think Weld is the best?

Weld is the best because that’s where I’ll be living.
There is obviously no other way to answer this question :)
