I'm going to be a freshman Earth Science major this fall and I am so excited! But I have a problem. Two recommended courses for my major: calculus and chemistry, have a yearlong section and a more advanced one semester section. I am currently leaning toward the yearlong section. However I'm nervous that taking these yearlong intro courses will really slow me down and put me behind from taking more advance math and chem courses, at the same time i don't want to choose the one semester section get overloaded and lower my gpa, especially since I want to have the typical freshman experience. I am seriously torn over this decision. So I guess my question is which would someone with a science background advise? Should I just buckle down and take the one semester option or just keep my current choice?
