<p>Realistic. Also typical schedule for freshman sans maybe Math 3A/Chem 14A combo or Math 3A/LS-1 but never Chem 14A/LS 1 for the first quarter since your OC will say NO to that... but you can still technically.</p>
<p>I did Chem 14A and LS1 my first quarter. But then again, my third class was Music 15. Awesome sched. 3.9. </p>
<p>But I waved bye-bye to that 3.9 after winter quarter...:'(</p>
<p>Hist 1A kinda sucks. Whaddaya gotta take that ish for?</p>
<p>well i wanted to start math and chem together also. but only one prof is teaching chem, for all three lecs, lavelle. i checked bruinwalk and apparently even through a lot of effort it's hard to get a good grade. i wouldn't usually skip out of a class because the prof is "not preferable," but it's my first quarter...</p>
<p>btw phillips is teaching hist 1a. i won't be behind in the chem if i just take it winter right? and it's doable to take hist1a first quarter as a freshman?</p>
<p>oh and i have popa for math</p>
<p>philips is freaking boring... and condescending... and monotonous. doesnt help that 1a info sucksss!</p>
<p>Lavelle's okay, but I do wish I had taken Scerri. He does sound more fun. Popa's kinda cute in a little ol man way. And super nice at (crowded!) office hours. I didn't finish the class so maybe mrmoo will tell you more.</p>
<p>Also I don't know anything about Ling 1 but I thought ling courses were pretty hard and not fun.</p>
<p>BUT AT LEAST YOU'RE NOT TAKING A GE CLUSTER :D</p>
<p>Ling 1 is supposed to be an easy GE.</p>
<p>Your schedule looks pretty chill and quite doable. If you want to switch a GE around, I'd recommend Arts and Arch 10.</p>

<p>okay you guys, so apparently hist1a and math3a both had the final on the same day... so i had to switch my math3a class to another lecture time, and now i have weinstein. there is no info on him on bruinwalk; a weinstein is listed but it's not the same one (i think...? the first initial and department are different than than the math weinstein)</p>
<p>and i dropped ling1, thinking of taking art and arch 10</p>
<p>winter is teaching it, and he has mixed reviews on bruinwalk... anyone have experience with winter???</p>
<p>but then i keep thinking i should take chem14a this quarter with lavelle instead of hist1a with phillips. but lavelle has BAD reviews... stuff like people tried so hard and put so much effort, got A's on the midterms but ended up with a B in the class! will it be bad in any way if i leave chem14a for winter? WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF LAVELLE TEACHING CHEM14A AGAIN for winter? that would kind of be pointless since he's the reason i'm not taking chem first quarter anyway. won't i fall behind on the life science core requirements if i don't start chem14a and math3a together?</p>

<p>I had Winter for AA10</p>
<p>He's alright. The class varies each quarter, as it depends on who comes into town. His tests are really note-heavy, so if you take bad notes, learn, because there's no textbook.</p>
<p>Tons of extra credit opportunities, so the class is pretty chill if you participate.</p>
<p>You should take the physical sci series and take 20AH with Lin. He's baller to the max. You don't have to be in honors to take it.</p>

american history cuz i had a B average in 1 year of gov or history
quantitative reasoning cuz i got an sat math score of 600+
writing 1 cuz i got a 4 on ap english test! (need 4 or 5 to pass out of writing 1, just a 3 gives you credit for entry-level writing)</p>
