Freshman scholarships

Rising senior, 3.94UW 4.9W, will graduate with 10-AP and 5-AICE, class rank top 6%. In state. We know we have bright futures. What else would be available? It is worth it to apply to honors, or is SAT too low?

Hard to know about the SAT…you didn’t post it, lol.

I would wait until this craziness winds down and then schedule visits to schools you’re interested in. If you have prepaid, that will cover most of your tuition. Bright Futures is like found money – it’s yours, whether or not you spend it on education.

Be sure you have all of your application deadlines firmly in mind, and start as early as possible on your applications. When acceptances come, shortly afterward financial aid offers will start coming in. Our college counselor suggests waiting until all the offers are in, but if you have your heart set on one school, I would focus on that one.

UCF specific, you can email both Admissions and Counseling with questions. Everybody is working from home right now, but they’re very good about responding.

@JimDadinmia Omg sorry. 1460 SAT

I don’t know what the requirements are for Honors, but there may be info on the Honors page on the UCF website. Their website has tons of information.

If you have any trouble finding a particular piece of info, their search feature works very well.

Okay, here’s what I got from a friend whose daughter is an entering freshman in Burnett Honors College:

Thank you!
