The school that I will be attending has this schedule laid out for in coming Freshman. I'm hoping to take English I Honors, not sure about Math since I would like to take Geometry over the summer to get it out of the way, Biology I Honors, HOPE (some class on developing and enhancing healthy behaviors that influence lifestyle choices). Language is up in the air as well, though they are offering quite a few to choose from (French, Spanish, Latin, Italian, and German). The only Honors they offer in Languages are Spanish III and French III. Is that normal? I keep looking at this schedule, and it seems like something is missing (just not right). Is it me???? lol!

I’m a turning Freshmen as well. I had no offered classes in the Summer so I just selected the most difficult classes I was allowed to take. Some worthless classes I need to FUFILL requirements and Band

Where’s history/social studies?

There’s no real reason to skip geometry unless your school offers something more advanced than AP Calculus BC during senior year. (Also, you could take geometry and Algebra II at the same time without any problems. Geometry isn’t really a prereq for Algebra II, even though a lot of schools set it up that way.)

Take Honors Bio and English.

If your school has any art/technology requirements, get most of them out of the way this year so your schedule in future years can be more advanced.

Take whatever language appeals to you the most. (If you don’t already speak any of them, Spanish will probably be the easiest.)

halcyonheather, bravo! I knew something didn’t add up. History/social studies are not scheduled until 10th year. I went and looked after I read your post. They offer World History, Honors World History, AP World History (sophomore year). Will this schedule make me behind?

Can you try to take history freshman year? Even regular or honors is fine if you can get history in.

Thanks msltennis97. Maybe, I can drop an Art class and take it over the summer, and replace it with history. I always thought we needed 4 years to of History to graduate. Strange.
