What are the freshman seminar courses at Stony Brook like? Are they actually difficult courses, or are they mostly meant to be easy courses that just introduce students to Stony Brook?

I’m talking about the courses mentioned in the link below, in case I’m not being clear about which courses I’m talking about.

The 101s are an introduction to campus: resources, skills, people to know, etc. The 102s are taught by faculty and have more academic content. Neither course is designed to be “difficult,” per se, but there is still work expected in each course.
