Freshman spring semester gap year or cc?

I'm a freshman in college but I want to transfer to a different school in the fall and feel that it's a waste of time to stay here another semester when I know I'm transfering anyway. I was just wondering if there were any half semester gap year programs where I could still earn credits that would give me a full year of credits so that I would be able to come in as a sophomore next year.

I’m pretty sure if you want to earn credit you are going to have to go to a CC in the Spring or stick to the college you are at and just finish out the year.

you could be a visiting student at another college for a semester. other than that, i don’t think any programs will offer you credit.

Both of the people above me are wrong.

I am doing this now actually but It is with the Seamester program.
Also you can do it with National Outdoor Leadership school.
They have tuition fees but it is a 16 credit semester and much much cheaper then college semester tuition.

Here are the websites.

and

[NOLS - National Outdoor Leadership School](http://www.nols.edu/)

These are outdoor schools but there is ALOT out there for you. Try googling alternative education college semester.

and best of luck.
