<p>What exactly is the Freshman Summer Start Program (FSSP)? The website states:
"By the beginning of the fall quarter, you will have already started on your college course work and graduation requirements, become acquainted with the UCI campus, gained confidence in meeting and speaking with professors, and become part of a close-knit group of incoming students" (FSSP:</a> UC Irvine Summer Session: Freshman Summer Start Program).</p>

<p>Can I choose specific courses to take? Like calculus or chemistry classes?</p>

<p>What graduation requirements and college course work will I start by completing this program? What exactly do you do in general? What is the class "Pathways to University Success" and "University Studies 83"? </p>

<p>Is this program recommended for everyone or for certain types of people? </p>

<p>I received a mail notice about it today and would also like to know more information about it. I just know that you go to UCI for almost all of your summer vacation to get ahead in the process of getting adjusted to the campus, the way it works, and what-not.</p>
