You seem like a very bright and motivated person, which is wonderful. It’s good to have plans and goals so that you have an idea of where you’re headed and what you need to do.

However, like everyone else has said, you’re only a freshman. I’m a senior (almost finished with all my college apps.) I have several friends who spent their entire four years of h.s. stressing out about grades and college, and I can honestly tell you that they are NOT any more well-prepared or happy than the rest of us at this point. We have the same number of essays and apps to fill out, the same standardized tests to take, and the same waiting game to play while our letters come in. I would hate to be stressed out about all this stuff that, in the end, you don’t have complete control over, for four years.

So…all in good time.
Enjoy high school for high school, and try not to stress yourself out too much. The four years fly by! Work hard to keep your GPA up (because colleges do look at it), but be careful not to burn yourself out…I’ve seen it happen, even when people were really passionate about what they were doing. Like you said, do things because you enjoy them (not to put them on a resume) and you will do great.
