Freshman transfer for Fall '11

I'm applying to transfer to Cornell from an average university. I'm in the honors college and am finishing the semester with a 3.8/4.0 gpa. I'm involved in a few clubs and hold one leadership position.

My SATs: W: 750 M: 7:40 CR: 710

My high school GPA is only 3.6, although I did take a 4 APs and had a decent amount of extracurriculars.

I know I had no chance of getting in last year so I didn't apply. Do I have a shot at being accepted this year?

Please chance! I gotta know if I’m way out of my league here

yes you have a chance. but what do you want to study? be passionate about it in your application

i think you had a chance… 2200 sat is above average. i think the average sat for cornell is like 2100 or so, not that cornell cares about writing. your 1490/1600 is above average too. in fact, it’s what i had and i got into cornell.

3.6 might be a little low, but it’s not a deal breaker i don’t think. you really should’ve tried.

that said, just like last year, i think you have a chance this year =)

and like jaroba said, be passionate! cornell really likes fit.
