Freshman transfer, missed deadline

I'm a freshman at USC right now but i want to transfer out. I was talking to my academic advisor earlier today and she told me it was possible to do spring transfers sometime, so i checked online and i missed the deadline which i think was the 1st?
I was admitted to NYU last year when applying to college though and i was wondering if anyone knew if it would still be possible for me to transfer and if so, who/where to contact.

I called the Office of Undergraduate Admissions but the lady was just like "nope no chance of transfer goodbye" and so i'm hoping perhaps i could talk to someone else

Thanks

Nope, not possible in your first year. You need to complete at least 32 credits (or something like that) before you can re-apply.

^^^
Not entirely accurate.

You have to have 30 (not 32) credits completed by the time you would transfer into NYU, or rather, by the time you would enter NYU.

So, if you want to transfer in for Fall 2012 as a Sophomore, you would have to apply by the Fall transfer deadline this coming March. (Something like March 1st or March 15th).
