Ok I thought that I was going to transfer in as a sophomore but two of my course won't transfer b/c they are business specific courses. So they put me as a freshman transfer. Now what does that mean??? They say that freshman transfers are evaluated in the freshman pool but special consideration is given for your college work! So does that mean I need like amazing high school stats now which mine were a 3.35, and amazing sat's 1050? but I got a 3.8 my first semester in college? What is going on anybody have an idea what could happen??? please help me out on this situation!

I don't think you have a lot of control in this situation. Just let the adcoms decide how they want to view your application, and they will look for what they want.

When do you think I should get my decision, freshman decision(March 20) or Transfer decision(April 21)?

transfer - if you have attempted ANY college credit after graduating HS, you're a transfer

What school are you speaking of? As to when you will get your decision, I think it is fine for you to call and ask. I don't think any of us here would know that.

Yeah, so you think it wouldn't really be out of line to call and ask them?

It wouldn't really be out of line to call and ask

Not at all. It's a little scary to call, because some students fear they'll come across as pushy or stupid or....

Most Admissions Office people are very helpful, especially the transfer specialists. Some schools are very busy with freshman admissions at this time, but your question is very unique and comes directly from what they have just communicated to you.

I think I would contact whoever contacted you (or signed the letter or email or whatever) and ask, first, what the time frame for decision will be in your case. Then ask, if you like, whether your hs record will be factored in more or less than or the same as other transfer applicants.

Good luck.
