Freshman Transfer

I'm a freshman history major at Boston University and I'm interested in transfering to Cornell next semester. I know that Cornell's website discourages freshmen transfers but I have seriously considered Cornell in the past and was even going to apply ED there but didn't think I had the grades to get in. I ended up applying ED to BU which turned out to be the wrong choice. So I was wondering if anyone's ever tried to transfer as a freshman or if that's even possible.

SATS: 2010
Unweighted High School GPA: 3.65 (i think)

APs:
US: 5
World History: 5
Euro History: 4
Lit/Comp: 4
Environ: 4
US Gov: 4
Psych: 5

SAT II:
US: 780
Eng: 780
World History: 740

if they discourage freshman transfers, I would HIGHLY suggest applying to transfer in fall of '09

Your stats are so good! Why not just give it a shot?

^ I wouldn't go that far...

i'd agree that my stats aren't THAT good (which is the reason I didn't apply ED in the first place) but i think I'll call the admissions office and talk to them. the worst they could do is reject me.

Apply to ILR as a transfer because it has a 60% admissions rate.

When do ILR transfer applicants receive an admission decision?
