Freshman with AA that are now in Transfer Pool

Since I am now being evaluated as a transfer student instead of a freshman I wondered what will happen with UF housing.

After I submitted my application I paid the housing deposit fee. Would being accepted as a transfer change my housing options?

That is exactly what happened to me. I will receive my AA and graduate from high school at the same time. I applied as a freshman. My status says that UF is still reviewing my college credits and prereqs. for my major. What does this mean? Am I now considered a “Transfer student”? No timelines were given. Did all AA dual enrolled students get put into the Transfer pool? I am very confused now.

gigifernz, were you accepted or did they postpone decision?

this should make it way easier for you to get in shouldnt it?

actually this is horrible… you’ll need to have the tracking courses completed and chose a college right away since you’re a transfer now. unless they have special conditions for people in your situation

@Zooloose- I know I wasn’t officially accepted, more like they will now evaluate me as a transfer student.

@journeytojapan - I already declared a history major and have already completed the pre reqs so that is not to much of a worry to me

Does anyone know how long it usually takes for CLAS to give a decision in my scenario?

Did you apply for summer or fall? if you did and still didnt get your acceptance you are definitely being evaluated as transfer, freshman admission decisions for those semesters were on friday.

Im not sure exactly when but i know transfer decisions come pretty late compared to freshman. And from my days of stalking the transfer threads ive learned that CLAS is notoriously the slowest college to make decisions.

Anyway as i said earlier its easier to get in as a transfer so this might work out of the best.
