Hello, thank you for reading my post. So, my classes have been released; my school is a full ib program school. Where I am taking the myp. However, for this semester, I am enrolling to SL class. (Standard level.) Would it like to affect me when applying to university? (Also, I am taking an advanced English class inside my school.)
It would depend on the college, but it likely won’t affect you. Highly selective and holistic colleges may expect your guidance counselor (or equivalent) to say that you took the most rigorous classes available to you. This doesn’t mean you have to take advanced classes in all subjects, however. You will not be penalized if your decision was a result of scheduling conflicts.
