Freshman Year Effect on GPA/Rank?

Hello everyone...I was a junior/will be a senior, and I'm probably going to apply to Stanford, Berkeley, and other UCs with Berkeley as my top somewhat realistic choice. However, I'm starting to doubt my chances now...first try SAT 2050 (only hopeful part), GPA 4.26, SAT IIs of a surprisingly low 720 Biology E, 700 U.S. History, 660 Literature.

So I'm mostly worried about the effect of my GPA/rank and SAT IIs on Berkeley admission (in state). Anyone know how heavily they weigh the subject tests? I may be able to retake Reasoning in October and subjects in November. Also, does it make a difference if my GPA and rank are brought down primarily by my freshman year? Ranked 4th weighted right now, but if I had earned straight A's freshman year instead of 6/16 B's, GPA would have been 4.42 and ranked first by a large margin. I know this seems like pointless regret but I'm wondering if it makes a difference that I've gotten straight A's sophomore and junior year (except for a B+ in the first half of a sophomore honors class).

Hopefully this isn't too muddled. Thanks for any input!

bump…

UCs don’t look at freshman year grades. And if you’re ranked 4th, what are you worrying about?!?!? A 4.26 GPA is really good. I don’t know why you’re fretting.

Also, I believe UCs only look at 2 SAT IIs and your 720 and 700 and definitely fine.

Thanks for the input. It’s just that Berkeley will be very competitive when it comes to numbers.
