My freshman year GPA was terrible, ending the school year with a 3.225.
How bad is it going to effect my entire high school GPA? Does it weigh more than any other year? I'm going into sophomore year this year.

Don’t worry about it! Just because you didn’t do well freshman year does not mean you won’t be able to get into college. It will affect your entire GPA but if you do really well the next three years colleges will understand. Sophomore years is a new start so just make sure to do well this year. Good luck!!!

Colleges typically put alot more weight on sophomore and junior year. You still have plenty of time to improve upon it!

I think you can definitely recover. I’m currently a junior but my freshman year gpa was a 3.4. I managed to get it up to a 3.75 by the end of sophomore year. My goal for this year is to hit 4.0. All years weigh the same depending on the number of weighted classes that you have. Your unweighted gpa is the equal measure of all 4 years. Just make the rest of your high school career count…all you have to do is want it bad enough. :)
