I was wondering if my freshman year GPA will hurt my chances of getting into top colleges like Cornell and Michigan. My Freshman year GPA was a 3.5, Sophomore 4.1, and Junior 4.1. This is weighted on a 4.0 scale. Also good extracurriculars such as football, lacrosse, math club, stem club, Future Civics leaders, Reviresco, peer leaders, and Church Group.
No a 3.5/4.0 UW GPA won’t kill your chances, unless you got a bunch of Cs that year. Focus more on being a leader in your ECs and getting killer test scores
If it is just freshmen year, perhaps not killing your chance completely. If you get straight A afterward, it will bring you back to near admission average by the time of college application.
