<p>I was wondering if UMich considers freshman year when calculating grades. I didn't do so great my freshman year but there is a steep upward trend after this so I was wondering how it would affect my chances. </p>

<p>They do not recalculate your GPA, they use what is on your transcript. Upward trends are good though, so keep it up.</p>
