what gpa would you think i need in my sophomore year to raise my overall GPA...and also it would be helpful to tell your GPA if you got accepted in UVA..and one last thing...does freshman year count equally to sophmore, junior, and senior year

First off, you live in Virginia, so you have a better chance. Second of all, your freshman GPA is not terrible. If you can manage to pull up those B’s and B+'s you should be fine. However, keep in mind that UVa’s admission rate is getting lower and lower every year even for in-state students… There is no set GPA that will guarantee you into UVA; just strive for the best.

thnx a lot

The usual stuff: do some SAT prep, get some meaningful volunteer hours, start or do some extracurriculars throughout high school and try to rise up and take leadership positions or win some awards. Do your best to excel and try to do something unique. Also don’t forget to make good use of your summers, as they are a great time to get a job, get in some SAT prep, or get volunteer hours.
