In 9th grade I did terrible, I procrastinated on EVERYTHING. I had a fairly easy classes, no AP classes. Joined one varsity sport, no clubs/community/service. I ended the year with a 3.0 GPA. This year in 10th grade I'm doing a lot better with a 3.5 GPA in my first semester and currently holding a 3.9 in second semester; but I'm still not focusing too hard on school work :/. I'm enrolled in one AP class, and participate in 2 varsity sports along with 3 clubs. For the rest of my high school career, I plan to work harder, take more rigorous classes and not procrastinate. Will colleges look past my misfortunate first year of high school?

Bump. Help!?

Certain colleges will disregard freshman year completely, but not most. However, most colleges will consider freshman year the least important and most schools value an upward trend.

thanks for the reply

they understand that you’re adjusting during your freshman year. As long as you have a positive upward trend, they like that

Freshmanyearproblems

haha yeah.

I think as long as you arent going for Ivies and continue your upward trend then youre good.

I hope to go to a decent school, top 50 in the us?
