Freshman Year

My freshman year was sorta bad and i was wondering if I had any chances of getting in upenn if I brought up my grades and took more challenging classes my sophomore and junior years.

My Grades Freshman Year:
Geometry- 89
Physical Science- 94
Spanish 1- 95
Honors World History-85
Honors English 1- 83
Health-88

Can anybody please answer my question ?!

Are those your weighted or unweighted grades?

My S had several B’s (unweighted) in his frosh year and almost straight A’s the rest of his school year and he’s in the class of 2015. So it is possible…they don’t look at you as an ACT or an A or a B, they look at you as a whole package and how you fit into Penn and how Penn will fit you. Good luck!

It’s better to mess up Freshman year and have an upward trend throughout the next three years than messing up your Junior year, which could severely hurt your chances at any T20 school.
