i heard princeton, harvard and stanford ignore freshman yr...but even if they ignore it wont they see the bad marks becauseits on the transcript, or is there such thing as getting a transcript w/ freshman yr grades removed?

I've never heard of getting your freshman year grades removed. Chances are if there was a reason behind the poor grades you can get your GC to explain it in his/her rec. Otherwise, just make sure there's an upward trend. Colleges are interested in the student you are today so some mess-ups 3/4 years ago isn't as bad as a mess-up last semester.

Some UCs do not consider Freshman grades. Other schools do not totally disregard freshman and sophomore grades but don't consider them as much as junior grades.

I was just recently asking about something related to this. I think the schools that don't take into account freshman year just recalculate your GPA so it gets higher and thats what they consider your GPA. But everything on the transcript stays the same. You send the full transcript and they do all the recalculating.
