Can someone explain to me the details of being admitted to Ross as a high school senior, I believe that I read where you can be admitted as a freshmen but won't enroll until your sophmore year? Why can't I find any information on majors available? What is the BBA program? I would like to major in finance and am curious if I don't get admitted as a high school senior, should I take a chance at not being admitted for my sophmore year? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

This would probably attract more replies if it was in the UMich forum, but I'll tell you what I know.

UMich students start in Ross from their sophomore year. You can apply directly to Ross as a preferred admit when you're a high school senior, and if you get accepted that way, you just complete a loose set of courses as a freshman and then you go to Ross the next year. Most people in Ross get in after applying in their freshman year at UMich. They have to complete courses in Econ and Calc I think.

But isnt it a gamble if I was to get denied preferred admit and I went to ann arbor wanting to enter ross my sophmore year, then get denied and find out that I can't even study business there because I'm not good enough?

Honestly its not that much of a gamble. Work hard and you'll get in. Plus even with an econ degree from Michigan you'll still have full access to most of the same jobs.

You should try to talk to Alexandre, if he doesn't post in this thread soon about the chances of getting into Ross or about a UMich Econ degree.
