<p>That's kinda like me, but I wish I made a fresh group here at UCLA. Wasted last year, and this is my senior year. I'm just focusing on school now so don't even bother with trying to make friends :(.... (I'm a transfer, so I've only had a year to make friends).</p>

<p>Why not join an association that is connected with your major? It isn't too late to meet new friends. Take the time now to do what you regretted not doing before. Good luck.</p>
<p>I'm actually going to try to become an officer of one association that is related to my major. I don't know if I will get it, but at least that's my attempt of this year. </p>
<p>I'm honestly too busy this semester, so my focus isn't trying to go out and meet a lot of people.</p>
<p>i'm also a transfer, but this is my 1st quarter. I've met a few acquaintances, whom I may become friends with the more we talk to each other. But for now, no one I can definitely say is a friend of mine</p>

<p>mm.. last yr as a first-year, i netted a good # of acq. not until mid-wintr qtr did i have a good idea of who my friends were... bcame more evident just b4 spring...</p>

<p>a misanthrope doesn't necessarily mean a social outcast. misanthropes can be active, outgoing, friendly people.</p>
<p>Yeah, I'm kind of going through the same thing mme-lin described... I've met a lot of people but only a few who I'd really consider true "friends." I'm not too worried though... we've only been here for a little over two weeks, it'll take some time. Plus club activities haven't really started up yet, and a sophomore on my floor said that you make a lot of friends though clubs because you have similar interests.</p>
<p>Yeah... it was kinda weird how it worked out for me.... i didn't talk at all to my roomie during fall qtr. by mid winter, she practicallt became my best friend @ school >_></p>
