Do you think it will be in Sacramento by tomorrow?

Are they doing priority shipping?

Do you think it will be in Sacramento by tomorrow?

Are they doing priority shipping?

Yes it’s suppose to be by priority shipping. I’m counting and hope they’ll come to us tomorrow because I’m in sac as well! lol Good luck to both of us! :D

GUYS!! USC Blog just posted the statistics for our freshman class! OMG! they said its the best class in the history of USC!!

• 19.6% of applicants were admitted
• More than 3,100 different high schools are represented
• Our admitted students come from every U.S. state, the District of Columbia and 79 different countries
• Outside of California, the five most represented states are Texas, Illinois, New York, Washington and Massachusetts
• Outside the U.S., the most represented countries are China, South Korea, India, Canada and Singapore
• 1-in-9 is the first in their family to attend college
• 64% are students of color
• 17% are international students
• The typical admitted student has an un-weighted high school GPA of 3.8. With weighting, the GPA is well over 4.0.
• The typical admitted student took 6-8 AP courses (assuming they were available at his or her high school)
• 75% of our admitted students have standardized test scores in at least the 95th percentile

"… they said its the best class in the history of USC!!"

I wonder if they say that every year about every class… lol

loll but the last thing about “75% of our admitted students have standardized test scores in at least the 95th percentile” means that 75% of admitted students had atleast a 2100 on their sats! that made me so nervous :(

It also means, however, that 25% (about 2,200 admitted applicants) scored lower. Let’s all try to be positive!

^ Agreed! That little 25% kind of put me at ease a little. lol I’m going to try to keep myself busy for the next few days! :)

Do remember that students in the premier art schools do have to achieve a certain academic standard, but subjective factors such as talent, drive, passion, creativity, imagination and potential are not measured by standardized tests.

You will know soon!

@ Georgia Girl - I did the apply to the SCA for Film Production so yes you’re absolutely right! lol

If you live right near Los Angeles and are rejected, will you get that tomorrow too? Were the rejection letters sent out today as well?

I’m not sure if only acceptance letters are sent through priority mail or if all are decisions are sent through priority mail.

Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2

@Parent46: USC Admission stated, “Moments ago, we loaded trucks with more than 45,000 pieces of mail…” so I think rejections will be sent out at the same time as acceptances.

@midtriplet Does the 6-8 AP courses include those taken senior year? I only took 2 last year but have 6 this year, so 8 if senior year is included

Even though decisions are coming out tomorrow, I’m still wondering about something. How much weight does USC put into 1st semester senior grades? I’m normally an A student. I took 4 APs and 2 electives this year. I ended up getting 1 A and 5 Bs… Not my best. Put an effort in, but could have tried harder definitely. Do you guys think that this will affect my chances dramatically or be enough to give USC reason to reject me? I ended up applying with a 3.84 GPA and 2100 SAT. Furthermore, you would think that with if USC does their applications holistically, it wouldn’t matter too much, but who knows.

Let me know your opinion. Thanks so much!! Good luck everyone

Guys, decisions will be online onMarch 29. So if you don’t get your letter, check your portal that day. They mailed ALL US decisions today. Friday is the latest you’ll have to wait.

As far as 1st semester grades, do you know if they called your guidance counselor? Those on the bubble had calls placed to GCs, unless they had been sent.

Good luck to all of you!

Does anyone know what time on Friday the decisions will be posted?

Decisions will be posted at noon on USConnect on Friday.

I assume that’s noon, Pacific Time? (so 3 PM here in the east). Thanks.

guys someone in another thread from california got their decision yesterday so…:o
